Another update.
We're on a role! I apologize for the rushed look of the past two pages - my scanner's not in the best of shape and it's final's week so I'm a little crazy right now. By next weekend I'll have my old scanner back and I can pace myself better. |

Our wonderful artist surprised me with it, so I was shocked too. Does this mean CAGE is back? ...I have no idea. But CAGE definitely has one new page! |

Hey all. Sorry for us skipping every other week lately, but it seems we're going to have to skip again. Poor Kiti's hit what we'll simply refer to as a 'writer's block' and if she, miraculously, manages to cough up a script overnight, I can assure you I won't be able to get the comic sketched, inked, scanned and colored by the time midnight on Saturday rolls by.
Maybe she'll write up the script for Stray during her CAGE block? Yes. Stray's still going. It is.
(Edit from Kiti: The script's been written for both comics. Poke Xenia, we're waiting on her art now.) |

Our reaching-the-deadline kick is hitting the breaks this week. Technical difficulties and too tight a schedule to fix it properly. There might be a possible update on Saturday, but it's nothing to quote me on. I'm very sorry! It's my fault (Xeen), not Kiti's. Updating will be back to normal next week! |

Er. It's kinda craptastic today, because I (the Xeen) am too lazy. And frustrated, because I don't know how to make it obviously RYO-VISION when it's... you know. Ryo-Vision. I tried the funky border idea, and screwed it up too much. Am seriously contemplating making a little wordbox that just says "Ryo-Vision" to clear things up.
Well, that's not a very happy post. I like the second picture of Akira! :D There, yay, much better. |

Notes:
-For future reference, because the Xeen does not think she's drawing it as clearly as it could be drawn, the black squigglies? Wings in one panel and not in the next? Anything that shows up for a panel or two and makes Ryo go "OMG WTF" are in RYO-VISION! That's what Ryo sees all the time, but no one else can see at all. Ryo always sees Akira with the black squigglies around him and no one else can see them. Writing "RYO-VISION" at the bottom of the panel just seemed lame, though. Ha-haaaa. Yeah it did. |

Notes:
-"Psycho control freak #2" in reference to Ryo's enthusiasm from the previous page. Except I wrote psycho instead of wacko. Oops. But with Akira, there's really not much difference, is there?
-First appearance of an Akira fangirl! Alarming! (That's why they look similar kinda sorta. Fangirls can get scary sometimes.)
Oh, will there be commentary in the CAGE journal from now on? We'll see! |

Thanks for all those comments on the last post! According to all of your responses, Maiku's the number one favorite character. Ryo's a VERY close second, though. And Tracker and Ben tied for third. |

See my awesome deadline reaching skills? How long do you all think we can keep this comic updating weekly? Hopefully always!
Also, the CAGE layout is undergoing a big change. Because I (artist Xeen!) could not stand the last layout. But that means the page and links might be a little off today. Or tomorrow, or the next day - however long it takes me to work this page right. But it's almost finished!
One more thing! Who's everyone's favorite character so far? I'm curious! Mine's Robbie. (But he's a bitch to draw - I like drawing Ryo and Ben best!) Well, well? Let's be interactive readers! |
